Orson Welles performs “The Man Who Was Thursday”

In October of 1938, two weeks before his infamous War of the Worlds Broadcast, Orson Welles and his Mercury Radio Theater of the Air performed Welles’ own adaptation of Chesterton’s novel, The Man Who Was Thursday with Welles himself playing the role of Gabriel Syme. This is too good to be imagined.
